The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation recently selected WolfeReiter to design and build a digital library application for its workplace HIV / AIDS prevention and treatment programs. This innovative application will be used to distribute and update HIV prevention and treatment information in Coke's bottling facililites across Africa.
Through its bottling facilities across the continent, Coke is the largest private sector employer in Africa and is implementing an innovative workplace treatment and prevention programme for its employees. The programme makes use of a substantial volume of management manuals, training materials, and technical information on treatment. WolfeReiter devised a Windows application that allows Coca-Cola Africa to manage, distribute, and update this content in electronic form throughout its facilities in the form of a “digital library”.
Coca-Cola Africa representatives approached WolfeReiter with tight budget and timeline constraints. Our team was able to develop a solution within the required timeframe that pulled together components in XML, Java and C# to provide a manageable and redistributable document store with a high-performance full-text search engine. WR delivered the solution within three weeks of contract signing -- in both Windows and web editions, with complete installation packaging and in-line user documentation.
